Overview:

Saadani National Park lies along the coast of Indian ocean in Tanzania and is the only National Park that harbours both marine and terrestrial habitats. It is not surprising to encounter wild animals on the beach in this coastal park. Saadani is one of the fewer breeding sites for endangered Green Sea Turtles and the only Tanzanian Park to protect the mangrove forest.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Afternoon Game Drive in Saadani National Park

This morning, you will be picked up by your driver guide and transferred to Saadani National Park, the only coastal preserve in East Africa. Arrive for lunch at Saadani Park Cottages. In the afternoon, head out for a game drive in this unique preserve where bush meets beach. There is various wildlife to be spotted here including elephants, giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, zebras, lions and occasionally, leopard. On a river cruise, you will meet hippos and crocodiles. Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Safari on Wami River

Awake early for a morning game drive, exploring the park further before returning to the camp for breakfast. After your meal, drive down to the Wami River for a 2-hour thrilling boat cruise where you will see crocodiles, hippos and riverine birdlife. Drive back to Dar via Bagamoyo for a hot lunch.
