Overview:

This 4-day package introduces you to Tanzania’s magnificence. Explore Tarangire National Park renowned for its large elephant concentrations and colossal baobab trees and Ngorongoro Crater, a world heritage site and perhaps the only place in the entire world to sight the big 5 in their natural habitat.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Afternoon Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

Meet your driver guide at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport and transfer by road to Tarangire National Park for the start of your thrilling safari adventure. This beautiful park is home to Tanzania’s largest concentration of elephants and over 500 bird species, with varied terrain from granite ridges, river valleys and baobab trees dotting the savannah. Arrive at Tarangire Safari Lodge for lunch and after some rest, head out for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive exploring this preserve where you’ll encounter various animals including some of the largest elephant populations in Africa with several herds of up to 300 members per herd! In addition, there are large numbers of impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, Bohor reedbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, Thompson’s gazelle, the greater and lesser kudu and on rare occasions, the unusual gerenuk and fringe –eared Oryx are also seen. You will obviously see big numbers of elephants gather here as well as the wildebeests and zebras. Among the other common animals in the Tarangire are the leopards, lions, hyenas, and cheetah that seem to be popular within the southern open areas. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

Depart early this morning for Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is teeming with wildlife with resident population of around 25,000 large animals living in harmony. Spot lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, flamingos, and rare black rhinos. High density of predators include lion prides, cheetahs, and hyenas. This is an opportunity to tick all the boxes on your list. Marvel at spectacular views from the crater rim with panoramic views as you have your picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Endoro Lodge in Karatu.

Day 4: Departure

Today after breakfast, return to Arusha or Kilimanjaro for onward arrangements.
