Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arusha – Serengeti South – Ndutu

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. You will then drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to reach the Ndutu region, part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Upon arrival, check-in at your accommodation and enjoy your first exciting game drive around Lake Ndutu, a key area where the Great Migration takes place. From December to April, the region is teeming with wildebeest, zebras, and elephants as they take part in the calving season. Keep an eye out for the abundant birdlife and resident species like gazelles and lions.

DAY 2: Ndutu Area – Full Day Game Drive

After a hearty breakfast, head out for a full day game drive in the Ndutu area, where you’ll track the movements of the wildebeest herds and other wildlife. The calving season is an incredible spectacle, as over 8,000 calves are born each day during this period. Learn from your guide about the migration's importance and the circle of life that plays out here. Your game drive will take you across the vast plains where predators, such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, are often seen hunting. In the evening, return to the camp to relax and enjoy dinner under the African sky.

DAY 3: Ndutu Area – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Ndutu area. Then, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the famous Ngorongoro Crater awaits. The Crater, often referred to as the "Garden of Eden," is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to a rich array of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros). The dense population of animals in the Crater, along with its stunning landscapes, provides a unique safari experience. Spend the afternoon exploring the Crater’s floor, witnessing herds of wildebeest, zebras, and flamingos in the soda lake.

Overnight Stay: Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

On your final day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The Crater’s ecosystem is a natural amphitheater, providing a diverse range of habitats for the abundant wildlife that resides there. After a fulfilling safari, ascend from the Crater and return to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward journey or flight back home.
